Snooze Loves Green

Niman Ranch meats and eggs are phenomenal because they:

• Taste AMAZING!
• Are produced by small, family owned American farms and ranches
• Are raised and harvested humanely
• Are raised free of ANY added hormones or antibiotics
• Are raised confinement free (this means free range for pigs and cows and cage free for egg laying hens)
• Are raised using sustainable agriculture practices

We feel the responsibility. We aspire for the future. Efficiency, sustainability, awareness. But at the end of the day, the reason Snooze acts in a green fashion is simple: it’s doing the right thing. Our mama taught us well… and since we’re in this for the long haul, we’re going to act accordingly. Snooze makes a continuous, conscious effort to provide a “green” or sustainable environment, and we prefer to do business with those in agreement.

We can do more, and we’re working on it. For now, we concentrate on the following to create sustainable Snooze:

1. Energy and water efficiency and conservation- we actually buy carbon offsets, are completely neutral in our operations and purchase alternative energy for consumption
2. Recycle everything possible
3. Compost everything possible
4. Sustainable local food, organic ideally
5. Recycled, organic and/or chlorine-free paper products - check out our sugarcane by-product take-away containers and corn based straws!
6. Non-toxic cleaning and chemical products
7. Provide employee education and incentive to act accordingly
8. We're beginning our foray into sustainable development and construction!
